The Twitter Times: Fastest News Ever?

September 17th, 2009 Posted in Online by Eric

twitter-logoThey say that Twitter’s now the fastest way to break news. This is probably true, as it allows almost anyone with access to a mobile phone or the likes to put out a notification of some event. We’ve already seen this type of news with last month’s fire at the Google building in the UK.

Now, you can grab even faster news. Yes, you read that right. There’s a new site out called The Twitter Times, located at the aptly named domain name: TwitterTim.es. Essentially, what this new site does is take links from recent tweets (based on whomever you follow) and compiles them into a news magazine interface.

Interestingly enough, the site will sort news items in “What’s Hot” and “Top News” categories, and updates on an hourly basis.
