Windows Mobile App Store To Be Opened Soon To Developers
It is expected that Microsoft will announce today at the 2009 Worldwide Partner Conference in New Orleans that they will be opening an application development program to developers worldwide (big surprise). More specifically, the date in which this program will begin will be on July 27, and developers from 29 different countries will have access to begine working on a variety of applications for Windows Mobile.
Microsoft is perhaps focusing on one sector in particular, and that’s business applications. That’s no surprise, however, considering business customers have been Microsoft’s bloodline for a while.
Many companies are using the concept of an App Store in order to compete with eachother. Apple first launched their app store around this time last year. If there’s one good thing to come out of it though, it’s that competition can increase quality for the end user.
