Windows 7 Ready For Primetime

July 22nd, 2009 Posted in Productivity, Technology by Eric

windowssevenwhiteMicrosoft’s newest operating system, Windows 7, is finally ready for primetime. The operating systems is stated to be in it’s RTM (release-to-manufacturing) phase after building, testing, and undergoing rigorous quality assurance and validation rights.

Windows 7 will soon be pre-loaded on to new computers in this RTM phase, and also put in disc form for final distribution in late October of this year (that’s October 22, to be exact). The operating system is expected to come in seven different varieties (that’s six too many) and is already facing stiff competition from Google’s Chrome OS, despite being an extreme hit during the pre-ordering period around the world.

We’ll see you in October, Windows 7!
