RealPlayer Making a Comeback

After Windows Media Player and iTunes stole its popularity, RealPlayer is trying to make a comeback. Today, the RealPlayer SP Beta was launched and it’s looking very promising. It’s packed with quite a few cool features that include:
- Media Converter, you can convert and transfer all your videos to your BlackBerry, iPods, iPhones, Xbox, PS3, iTunes and any video capable cell phone.
- Download Online videos: the title says it a lot but with this tool you can download multiple videos including flash videos from YouTube or other websites with a click of a button. According to the makers, “one–click video downloading means more time spent watching and less time feeling technologically challenged“.
- Share Video: from e-mail to other social networking sites, all you do is download the video and from there you can easily share it with anyone.
- Multiple Browser Support: RealPlayer SP supports the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Firefox.
- It’s Free! You can also get the RealPlayer SP Plus for a one-time charge of $40 and you’ll get even more cool features like 120 min DVD burning, H.264 converter, Advanced Audio & Video, and Advanced CD burning.
Now there’s no excuse for not having the 45 minute video of your kid picking his nose. While I wouldn’t like to watch that, I think that this is really good. Kudos to RealPlayer for not giving up just yet! You can download the free Beta here.
