Motorola Droid Sells 250,000 Units in First Week

Nearly a week ago, we talk about Droid sales rising, but not quite quickly. Today, we report that the Motorola Droid has sold approximately 250,000 units in the first week of sales, alone.
This figure, according to Flurry, makes the Droid the “fastest-selling Android phone to date.”
Of course, this number is no where near comparable to the amount of iPhone 3GS devices Apple put out on the June release — but Apple launched their devices in a total of 8 countries, whereas the Droid was only sold in the US.
Verizon has reportedly shelled out roughly $100 million in Droid advertising and we’re certainly looking forward to the figures of sold devices approaching the holiday season.
