Facebook Video: A Great Success – So Far

While it’s still a somewhat new feature, Facebook Video is already a huge hit within the Facebook community. Oddly enough, the feature began as a traditional Facebook Hackathon, an unofficially event in which Facebook employees are allowed to code and build whatever they want. When they decided to create a video platform, it was brought to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who responded with, “Yah, this seems like kinda good.”

The interesting thing here is just how popular Facebook Video has become. Facebook Video is now serving upwards of 1 billion views per month. While that’s an incredible number, it’s no contest for YouTube’s 1.2 billing views – per day.
