BlackBerry App World 2.0 to Include Carrier Billing, QR Codes, BlackBerry ID, and More

For a while now, we’ve known that Research In Motion is planning to release an enhanced and improved version of its BlackBerry App World. It’s beginning to look as if the application will make its much awaited debut pretty soon. According to Phone Scoop, RIM released new details about the upcoming BlackBerry App World 2.0 today.
Most notably — and a feature we knew it was coming — is the ability to pay for applications with a credit/debit card and through the carrier. Users will still be able to user PayPal if they choose to. Additionally, BlackBerry App World 2.0 will contain a new feature called BlackBerry ID, which essentially allows users to create an account that can easily be transferred between BlackBerry smartphones and even carriers.
The BlackBerry App World 2.0 search feature has been improved to bring more relevant results, while the “My World” section will include more information regarding the existing applications. For instance, My World will tell individuals whether a certain application is stored in the device memory or storage card.
Google Gives Out $100 in AdWords Credit to AdSense Publishers

Are you an AdSense publisher? If so, you may have already received Google’s “Thanks for being a loyal AdSense publisher” letter via snail mail. The letter is offering up any AdSense publisher the opportunity to spend $100 on an AdWords campaign through an included card, which contains a special promotional code.
Careful though, that $100 can go quick depending on your campaign. If you exceed your $100 spending limit, Google will automatically charge you for overages. Tip: keep a close eye on your campaign, then pause it before it exceeds the $100 limit.
AdWords is the opposite end of AdSense, allowing advertisers to create and manage advertising campaigns that make their way to AdSense publishers’ online assets.
T-Mobile Offers Credit Toward HTC HD2 If You Trade In Your iPhone

There’s been quite some buzz over HTC’s HD2 smartphone — so much so that iPhone fan boys are falling in love with the handset. And while said fan boys are most vulnerable, T-Mobile’s pulled out the dagger, and is offering “an offer you can’t refuse.”
The wireless carrier is — from the dates of April 1st to May 19th — offering an iPhone trade-in program, allowing the exchange of an Apple iPhone for a minimum credit of $100 toward an HTC HD2. If the iPhone is in optimal condition, you can expect a credit of up to $350.
The offer is not available at corporate locations, but only at participating T-Mobile dealers. Consult your local dealer to find if the offer is available in your area.
Sex.Com Goes Unsold, Taken Off The Market
![]()
With an auction starting at one million dollars, Sex.com was expected to once again hold a record for the most expensive domain name sold. The domain previously sold for a whopping 14 million dollars — making it the most highest price paid for a domain name ever. Potential bidders included animals rights group PETA, and other adult-themed enterprises.
As of recent, however, the domain name has been pulled from the auction unsold.
That’s because creditors for the company behind Sex.com have filed a petition which puts them into bankruptcy protections — eliminating the need to sell off assets. Possible reasons include the fact that the domain may be worth more than the company’s debts, allowing them to pay the debts off with other assets, followed by selling the domain name for a considerable profit.
Apple iTunes Nearing 10 Billionth Song Download

Back in 2009, Apple offered up $10,000 in iTunes credit and some other nifty gifts to the lucky soul who had purchased the one billionth application on the Apple App Store. Now, another milestone is fast approaching — the 10 billionth song downloaded on iTunes.
As is typical, the lucky person who downloads the 10 billionth song will also be receiving a $10,000 iTunes gift card. As of this writing, the download counter is at 9.8 billion downloads and quickly climbing. We could see a winner very, very soon.
AT&T Fails And Disappoints … Again
Believe it or not, some new iPhone customers are still sitting on the edge of their seats with an unactivated iPhone in their hands. For the second straight time, AT&T has proven themselves somewhat unprepared. Apparently, AT&T is working with Apple to resolve the issue as quickly as possible (every company says this), though it may be another two days before the unactivated iPhones become live on the AT&T network. So if you’re on a hunger strike until your iPhone is activated, give up.
So, what does AT&T do to comfort their customers during this time? Not much, really – just hang out, maybe catch a game, go out for a drink – you know. Instead, Apple’s doing the dirty work. According to tips received by TechCrunch, Apple is offering $30 iTunes store credit to those stuck in the hole. You see, I was under the impression tha tthe whole “pre-order” deal was to avoid this type of situation. In a normal world though, things go wrong – just very frequently for AT&T.
