Twitter Launches for iPad
iPad user? Twitter user? Today just may be your day (I know, we say this a lot). Twitter has today released their official application for iPad, and preliminary reviews suggest that it just might be the best application Twitter’s ever fabricated for a mobile device.
Twitter has made good use of the iPad’s 9.7-inch display, as you can tell from the screenshot above (courtesy: Gizmodo). In addition, multi-touch functionality is an integral element to the application — which some suggest actually makes the application fun to use.
Most of you know that I personally don’t Tweet (though you should follow us on Twitter), so I can’t really comment on what I think about the app.
What about you? Any good, you think?

Ever since Netflix made its debut for Apple’s iPad, both iPhone and iPod Touch users are been anticipating a version for their respective devices.
Luckily, Netflix has updated their application to now support both iPhone and iPod Touch devices! Users of the smaller devices will be able to stream TV shows and movies, with access to their instant queues. Quite revolutionary.

Twitter Application For Android Updated To Version 1.0.3
Posted to the Android market without and hint of a changelog, Twitter has posted up version 1.0.3 of Twitter for Android on the Google App Market. Fortunately, the update announcement came in the form of a tweet late Monday night — making note that the update would fix “lots” of bugs in previous versions. In addition, the update would also use OAuth for user logins.
We can’t exactly say the application is a drastic improvement from the previous version, though it probably is safe to say that the update was necessary.
What are your impressions of the updated Twitter application?
Spotify For Android Now Supports Voice Actions
Popular music service [that isn't yet available in the United States] Spotify has updated their world-famous Android application today, which now supports the Android platform’s voice actions.
The announcement — appropriately enough — comes in the form of a tweet submitted on Monday morning. Not much more information was provided.
The update is only available for Froyo devices, and of course, in areas where Spotify is available.
Barnes & Noble Launches Revamped eReader Application, Slew of New Features
Today, Barnes & Noble has taken a bold step to improve their applications for iPad, iPhone, and PC. First and foremost, users will notice that the application has been completely revamped. Specifically, Barnes & Noble has re-branded the application, dubbing each version “Nook for PC”, “Nook for iPhone”, and “Nook for iPad”.
If the new logo wasn’t enough to make you fall in love with Nook, Barnes & Noble has also included a slew of new features; especially on iPhone and iPad. With customizable themes, brightness controls, font controls, and even an adaptation for the iPhone 4′s retina display — this is probably the best eReader app available on the market.
Other features include a rating system, and other improvements, and can be obtained by following this link.
Press release after the break.
Adult Service Businesses Using FaceTime For Playtime
Let’s be perfectly honest. Some folks are quite simply not satisfied with phone sex with a stranger. That’s why iP4play.com has come along. See, the company behind the scenes is evolving its sexual services to accommodate iPhone 4 devices that pack a front-facing camera and FaceTime. That essentially means that clients will be able to view their “partners” whilst — how do we put this delicately — fap, fap, fapping.
Spending a lonely Friday night with a woman with three kids and no health insurance over FaceTime won’t be cheap, however. The service is charging a whopping $4 per minute. Different strokes [literally] for different folks could mean you will be spending anywhere from $20 to $40 per session. I’m not exactly sure how good/bad those rates are compared to voice phone sex, but it sounds outrageous!
Cha-ching!
Fake TweetDeck App Makes It To Android Market
It was certain to happen. When you give folks your trust, they go ahead and take advantage of it. That’s exactly what one user did, uploading a fake application — though unclear as to whether or not it was malware — branding it with the TweetDeck name.
Needless to say, the upload seemingly caused TweetDeck to panic, with the company sending out the following Tweet:
“Someone has uploaded a “TweetDeck” app to the Android Market and it charging for it. THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL APP. Do NOT download.”
As of this point, the application appears to no longer reside on the Market, making it a pleasant day for you and me.
Apple Takes Down Camera+ iPhone Application

Apple has managed to effectively pull the Camera+ application from the App Store earlier this morning thanks to a hidden feature Apple disagrees with.
The hidden feature — which was tweeted on Wednesday by developer TapTapTap — revealed that users could visit camplus://enablevolumesnap within their iPhone’s Safari browser to use the camera’s volume buttons as a shutter button. Of course, Apple didn’t react kindly, and now the application is gone, gone, gone.
We’ve previously learned that the developers behind the app have made an absolute killing — over $500,000 in sales, so don’t feel bad. We would expect the team to promptly remove the feature in order to get themselves back on the store.
Netflix For Android Under Development
Popular movie rental service Netflix has confirmed the internal development of an official Netflix Android application, according to Electronista.
The company has reportedly hired several developers well-versed on the Android platform in order to produce the application. The company is also looking to bring aboard even more Android developers to build the app.
According to a Netflix employee, “The way Android is blowing up it would be stupid of us to ignore [the development of an application].
An unofficial Netflix player is available on the Android Market, though it is swarmed with complaints, from battery drainage to advertisements overdone.
