Hotmail Actually Becomes Useful, New Quick Add Feature
Microsoft has included a very intriguing, but useful addition to it’s Hotmail/Live mail interface. It’s called Quick Add, and allows users to look for and insert such things as maps, movie show times, images, and even videos into a message. It’s as simple as searching, selecting, and clicking the ‘Insert’ button, and BAM – right in that message!
The new feature now utilizes the new Bing API, and works well from my testing.
Though I don’t use Hotmail anymore, I do have to say this is a great new addition which will actually prove itself useful to many users (I just know). If I were planning to move from Hotmail to Gmail, this might have actually stopped me from doing so. The possibilities seem endless.
Hotmail is still the most popular email provider on the net. Comscore estimates 343 million monthly users, and that number is still growing. Following close behind is Yahoo, with 285 million users and Gmail (my favorite), with 146 million users.
Give it a try, let us know what you think.
