Change Your Google Voice Number? Oh Wait, It’s Not Free

July 2nd, 2009 Posted in Online, Productivity by Eric

keypadGoogle’s shaking the piggy bank this time around with Google Voice. If you’re looking to change your number, it’s going to cost you about $10. It is, of course, a one-time fee you will pay with your credit card using Google Checkout. The new number you buy will become active right away, Thankfully. The best part here is that Google will keep your old number active for 3 months, so you have time to tell your friends that you’re changing your number (or not telling them, if you’re shady).

Google recently purchased millions of numbers from Level 3 Communications, so there’s plenty to go around! Change away!
