YouTube Opens Up More On Its Own Branded Store [Updated]

It seems like the YouTube outage this morning had a purpose. We’ve noticed a new link on the YouTube homepage that takes you to the recently opened YouTube Store, where you can find all kinds of YouTube branded items like shirts, sweaters, hats, accessories, etc. The YouTube Store seems to be a branch of the Google Store. And it uses Google Checkout as the way to pay for the items. It looks like YouTube has finally gotten to promote the store by posting links to it on the homepage.
The wearables seem to be produced by Los Angeles based clothing manufacturer American Apparel. A lot of the items are made by using organic, sustainable, or non-polluting materials. It’s good to know that such a big company is doing a lot to promote eco-friendly products. More images below:

Update 1: It seems like the link has been removed from the homepage. You can access it by going to www.googlestore.com/You+Tube/
Update 2: Looks like the link is back on the homepage. See image below:

Update 3: It doesn’t seem like the store has anything to do with the outage.
