YouTube Grants Partners Video Blocking Control

YouTube has granted its partners more blocking control over the videos they upload. As you can see in the image above, there are two new buttons in the partner’s interface that allow them to either block certain videos by country or to enable Auto Block, which automatically blocks copies of a video uploaded without the YouTube partner’s consent.

Both buttons make it easier for YouTube partners to control the content they upload to the website. By letting them block specific videos by country, partners won’t have to block their entire accounts anymore when they don’t want a single video to be viewed in a country where it might be offensive or not perceived very well. As for the “Enable Auto Block outside ownership” button, it will make it easier for partners to claim ownership and instantly block duplicate videos, a process that used to be difficult and long.
