World Wide Web Creator Embraces Twitter

Sir Tim Berners-LeeSir Tim Berners-Lee, the man credited with the invention of the World Wide Web, has joined Twitter. Shocker! I’m talking about the same guy who recently apologized for the 2 slashes after the “http:” in URLs.

Apparently, Mr. Berners-Lee created an account on Twitter yesterday, just moments before he took the stage at the Web 2.0 Summit.

The British physicist actually thinks the Twitter website and Tweetie, the app he uses to, well, “tweet” have a confusing interface. That means a lot, considering he is the creator of the World Wide Web and now the Director of the World Wide Web Consortium.
