The iPhone’s short life

(Bertrand V.) Everyday, I hear so many people brag about the iPhone and its millions of apps but one thing people don’t like to talk about is its issues. Lately, many iPhone users have been reporting quite an increasing number of problems including: sluggishness, over-heating, and an extremely fast-dying battery to the point it becomes really hard to just make phone call or send a text message. MG Siegler from TechCrunch explains that “some people think it’s because it has been for around a year now“. Does this mean the iPhone is built to last about a year only?  Even if it’s not a memory or hardware problem, users are faced with the battery issue. All batteries normally wear down after some use, but when it comes to the iPhone it is really inconvenient to replace it, as you have to send-in your phone and pay about $100. That’s why many people opt to just buy the new version of the iPhone each year. To me, that doesn’t sound really smart because it’s not only way too expensive but every time you get a new phone, the 2-year contract with AT&T in this case, goes back to square one, meaning the 2 year cycle starts all over again. Plus, you are left with no use for the previous devices. So, if you or anyone you know are planning to buy an iPhone, think it very well and take into account the pros and cons.
