Gmail No Longer In Beta and It’s About Time

July 7th, 2009 Posted in Online by Eric

gmaillogoGoogle has finally removed the “Beta” text from their Gmail logo, alongside Google Docs, GTalk, etc. Gmail, which made it’s debut in 2004 is one of the top email providers, and it’s about time they tore off the Beta logo! It’s understandable, however, that it’s been there right along – seeing as how new features are consistently being tested and released.

What does this mean for you? Nothing, really. I suppose the only difference is that you’ll now see a Gmail logo without a Beta label. Although, I did notice the Beta label was still on the logo after signing in. I’m sure that’ll be corrected soon.

Thought we’d share that little bit of information.

Although at GMail home page, it does show that the “Beta” being removed. But … once I logged into my email, under Google Mail, still showing the word “Beta” … Does anybody know why it is like that? Or only works with email with @GMail.com at the end?
