Facebook makes news once again. This time, FBHive, a new website covering news, rumors, and information about Facebook, launched today with some major news. According to the twenty-something guys behind FBHive, a big privacy loophole allows anyone, anywhere to view private profile’s basic information like networks, sex, birthday, hometown, siblings, parents, relationship status, interested in, looking for, political views and religious views. TechCrunch, who was a little skeptical at first has confirmed that the hack is real. The FBHive guys said they have been reporting this bug to Facebook since June 7th, unfortunately, there has been no response. They’re threatening Facebook with a posting an article in the next few days explaining how they did it if the Facebook team doesn’t take action soon, maybe this will finally get the attention it needed from the very beginning.

Is it just me or is Facebook a big arrogant? I mean we’ve seen how reluctant the team has been about the removal of Holocaust-denial groups and now it’s taking them more than 15 days to patch this hole that is putting its users’ privacy on the line. And still it’s the most popular social networking site… A little humbleness and actual care for your own members wouldn’t hurt, Facebook!
