Windows 7 Advertised on Family Guy After All
In case you don’t remember the whole fiasco, let me explain it in a nutshell. Back in October, before Microsoft released Windows 7, they closed a deal to sponsor a commercial-free Family Guy TV special to promote Windows 7. Then, Microsoft reps canceled the deal after they thought the show was too raunchy. Warner Bros. stepped in to replace Microsoft as the official sponsor of the show. Well, it appears like Windows 7 got a little advertising time on a Family Guy episode last night after all.
Turns out, there was a little segment in the show [see video below] where Windows 7 was mentioned [or advertised]. The segment was then followed by a real Windows 7 commercial. Watch the segment after the break.
By the way, I’m loving all the Sony VAIO computers in the Windows 7 commercial. Anyway, what do you think about Windows 7 managing to get on the show? Do you hope there’s more to come?
