YouTube Video Upload Limit to be Increased From 10 to 15 Minutes

The world’s most popular video-sharing website YouTube will soon be increasing their video upload time limit from 10 minutes to 15 minutes, according to sources within the company who spoke to the BoingBoing blog.
It’s not exactly known as to why YouTube is increasing the limit so late in the game, but it’s sure to be a welcome change. Uploaders can focus more on adding more content as opposed to slicing up their videos in order to squeeze into the limit.
No word yet on just when YouTube will be pushing out the change, though the website is reportedly planning to celebrate the new upload limit with a “15 minutes of fame” contest, which will run on the YouTube homepage.
