Verizon May Move To AT&T-Inspired Limited Data Plans Later This Month

Verizon Wireless LogoAccording to some information posted by blog Engadget, it would appear is if Verizon Wireless may be planning to move to limited data plans later this month, beginning on the 29th of July, according to sources.

Details at this point are foggy, to say the least, however, Verizon Wireless and AT&T tend to follow each other’s moves in the market quite closely. This would mean — naturally — that Verizon would be pricing 200MB of data transfer per month at $15, and 2GB of data transfer for $25 (an absolute step backwards, we’d say) after AT&T’s newly-announced “money-saving” price schema.

We’ve seemingly been talking about the topic of Verizon Wireless moving to data-limiting plans for ages now, and seeing this finally come into fruition is no surprise — albeit frightening (in terms of the future of mobile connectivity).

More information coming soon!
