Apple Acquires API Firm Poly9

Cupertino, California-based Apple Inc. has reportedly acquired a small, online mapping firm called Poly9, based out of Quebec, Canada, reports MacDailyNews. The company has worked on numerous APIs for large organizations, among which include Microsoft, Apple, Yahoo, MSNBC, and NORAD.
A majority of Poly9 workers have already moved to their new Silicon Valley offices, which the exception of two employees of the small company, who were forced to stay behind due to family-related obligations.
Both Apple and Poly9 have not produced any comment on the aquisition, nor have any terms and conditions been released.
Poly9′s website has seemingly been taken offline. More information as it becomes available.
