AT&T Releases iPad 3G Data Plans Fact Sheet

Apple iPad front and back

Just in case you are still confused about data plans that AT&T will offer for the upcoming iPad 3G, the wireless carrier released today a sheet of facts explaining everything you need to know about their iPad 3G data plans. As many of you may know, the iPad 3G is scheduled to be released this Friday, April 30. As a matter of fact, we learned this morning that Apple has begun shipping the much-awaited iPad 3G.

AT&T will charge $15 and $30 per month for 250MB and unlimited data plans correspondingly. Do take into account that AT&T has previously expressed that its unlimited data plan is, well, truly unlimited. Additionally, the company will offer complementary free Wi-Fi access in its 20,000 hotspot locations across the country.

Now, the part that really grabbed our attention is the fact that the iPad will let you know when you are about to exceed your 250MB AT&T data plan. The iPad will alert you respectively when only 20%, 10%, and 0% of your allowance remains — at which points you’ll be able to add more data, or wait until the plan renews itself at the beginning of the next month. Also, you can manually check your balance through settings.

Check out the fact sheet after the break.
