Google recently announced today on its Lat Long Blog the introduction of its popular ‘search suggest’ feature to Google Maps. The feature, as the name suggests, automatically provides you with suggestions related to your query as you’re typing. It is already available on many of Google products and services. However, Google Maps was kind left behind until now.
Search Suggest for Google Maps has been actually implemented in Germany, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan for a while now as an experimental feature. Today, the feature becomes available in 10 more markets including Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, United States, and the United Kingdom. In addition, it will be available in 8 more languages from now on.
The feature will suggest different results depending on your current location. The service also offers additional information about businesses and locations such as specific addresses. Also, when signed-in, the Google customizes your suggestions based on your past searches.
This will definitely improve the overall Maps experience and allow you to find the places your a looking for even faster.
