Potential Evidence of iPhone Video Chat Surfaces

The next version of iPhone OS could incorporate video chat, as many Apple fans have been hoping for since what has seemingly been the dawn of time. 9 to 5 Mac has uncovered what appears to be references to video chat whilst digging through the iPhone OS 3.2 SDK.
Specifically, the first reference to video chat comes in the form of two PNG picture icons — one for what appears to be accepting a video chat, and another for declining or ending video chat. The other reference to video chat comes from the iPad teelphony application codes, with mentions of “VideoChat”.

It’s telling, but one can never be sure when it comes to Apple and their attempts to throw off the public. But if one thing’s for sure — this could mean that whatever iPxxx device this ends up on, we could see a front-facing camera.

Speculate away!
