Buzz Over Buzz: Google Buzz Gets Over 9 Million Posts and Comments

Just launching Google Buzz this past Tuesday, the social sharing service is already seeing incredible success by those who have adopted it through the native Gmail interface. So far, the service has seen over 9 million posts and comments. Let me just reiterate: 9 million posts and comments. That’s over 160,000 posts and comments per hour. Incredible.
Mashable‘s Ben Parr also points out that Buzz on mobile is also gaining traction, with “over 200 posts per minute” — figures provided by the company behind the service — Google.
Already we’re seeing Google hard at work implementing new measures within the service as requested by its users. Among these, the ability to now hide your followers/following lists, more intuitive follower blocking, and the ability to differentiate between public and private profiles.
Certainly, it’s impressive that Google has responded so quickly — just two days after the service was launched. That’s a sure sign the company is committed to gaining a slice of the social networking/sharing pie.
We’re looking forward to more.
