Facebook For BlackBerry Down [Updated]

If you’re an avid user of a BlackBerry smartphone, and you’re also a user of Facebook mobile — you’ve probably found yourself in a bit of a pickle. That’s because since last night, many users have been reporting that Facebook has been unable to stream status updates, or do anything else for that matter.
We can confirm this first hand, as BlackBerry users at Erictric have been unable to interact with Facebook since yesterday evening.
There has not yet been official word from Facebook or Research in Motion — but we’ve reached out for official comment. Stick around for updates.

Update: We’ve received official word from Facebook on the matter:
“We’re currently experiencing issues with our APIs, and as a result, some users may be unable to access the site from their devices at this time. These APIs are designed to make it possible for mobile partners to provide users with their respective Facebook applications.
We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.”
Update II: The issue seems to have been resolved at around 1:30 AM ET [February 11] – 10:30 PM PT [February 10]. The app is now working normally.

I started having trouble yesterday afternoon. I also have friends who are also having trouble with it. I have restarted my Blackberry several times as well as logged out and back in to the app. It would be nice to know what is going on.

Yep, mine hasn’t worked all day. And, randomly facebook has not been working properly on my tweetdeck either. Everyone I know with a Blackberry is having the same problem. Fix it!

Probably has to do with the terrible new interface they forced on everyone. Its awful, doesn’t even show me all my friends status updates.
mark e, Hit your Blackberry button once your Facebook app is up. It has an option “Go to Mobile Site.” If you hit that, it will take you to the Internet and the site without having to log in again. It’s annoying, but you can at least see everyone’s posts that way.

FACEBOOK IS BLOCKING ALL YOUR FRIENDS NEWS FEEDS EXCEPT 250 THEY CHOOSE! To UNDO: from HOME page, select NEWS FEED and scroll to bottom of page, click “Edit Options” (to the right side) ~ (left side is “older posts). Select NEWS FEED SETTINGS. reset 250 to 5000 (FB’s max. friend limit). Your feed will work right again…. Spread the word.

Not going to FB’s mobile site and pay data usage fees – heck with that. FB should have done due diligence on all carriers for blackberry when they rolled out the new site. Bad geeks – no Mountain Dew.

As of approx 10:30pm pst, FB for Blackberry is working again. You can all have unproductive days at work tomorrow. HA HA.

Finally working again, yay!!!!
It’s 11:16 AM (EST) and the Facebook mbibile website is still not working on the “friends Requests” and “New Requests”.
I can not download pic’s from my phone to my facebook..this has been goin on since january 1st
So my is still down and it is telling me that i Have the wrong FB password – which is impossible since I use it for everything. What do I do?? Help

I dont seem to get notifications as i normaly do anymore as of 11/3/10 everything else works fine
