Palm Catalog Close to Reaching 1,000 Apps

Well, what do you know? The Palm Catalog is very close to reaching 1,000 apps. How close? As of earlier this morning, the catalog reportedly had 946 applications. That’s a major achievement, considering that just a couple of months ago, the catalog was being criticized for having just about 200 applications.

Of course, the Palm Catalog is still plagued by some minor issues. One of them is that not all the applications work on both Palm devices [Pre and Pixi].  A good number of them are specifically made for either one of the devices. Another issue is the fact that not all 946 apps are available outside the United States. That means, users in another countries are not able to fully enjoy all the applications.

At just a few apps short of 1,000, some predict the Palm Catalog might reach the 1,000 app mark just by the end of the year, which is tonight! Though, we highly doubt it will. As a person who has [harshly] criticized the Palm Catalog before, I do have to admit that Palm has done a pretty good job so far adding more apps.

Now, let us know in the comments below if you think the Palm Catalog will reach 1,000 apps by midnight tonight.
