WinMo and Android fans, gather ’round and listen up: HTC’s 1H 2010 product catalog has been set loose tonight. Whether by some secret plan to drum up hype or because of someone’s actual case of loose lips, we have a much clearer picture of how HTC will start out the 1st half of 2010. I’ll get right to it and break your bubble. If you were hoping for some 4″+, 1080p, Android packin’ super phone, it isn’t here. Sorry. Hell, HTC even wasted a perfectly good large touchscreen + QWERTY combo style device on WinMo 6.5. But that’s beside the point. You just want pictures with some accompanying specs right? Well come on in…
HTC is taking a new approach on their product lineup and introducing categories in the following: Design, Performance, Social and Productivity.
Design
Legend:

For those who can’t read the fine print of the Legend’s specs, all you need to know is your typical HTC GSM support as well as the same specs as just about every other Android device on the market save for a slightly higher than average 5mp camera.
Salsa:

Social
Tide:

Buzz:

Performance
Bravo:

Productivity
Photon:

Trophy:

Tera:

If you’ve made it this far, what do you think? HTC has said multiple times that they will reamin a close partner of Microsoft’s and keep WinMo 6.5 in its stable. Though it’s interesting to see Android taking more of HTC’s limelight. Think they should drop WinMo altogether? I guess for me, seeing that these devices are supposed to be cutting edge well into 2010 leaves me again wanting more. The Bravo looks pretty slick with Snapdragon and 720p video recording. But the rest of the lineup looks exactly the same as everything we currently have available — just with a newer, slightly prettier face. I mean really, any new high-end Android device in 2010 and beyond should not be using the same, 2 year old, ARM 11 CPU poking along at 528MHz that their predecessors do. Is HTC getting tired?
