Google has announced today that Google Finance will begin streaming news items from the hours of 8:30AM-5:30PM Eastern time, offering up about a 90-minute cushion before and after trading hours. The move comes by demand, with users resounding that up-to-the-minute information is vital.
Google already has had real-time streaming stock quotes as of June 2008, but the company isn’t finished making Google Finance better.
“There is still a long way to go, so stay tuned for more updates,” wrote Andre Lebedev and Ayan Mandal.
