Foxconn to Open Retail Stores in China

According to the China Daily, Taiwan-based original equipment manufacturer [OEM] Foxconn is planning to open as many as 10,000 retail stores in China. Foxconn is one, if not the largest consumer electronics manufacturer in the world. Its roster of products include popular devices such as the Apple iPhone and iPods, Sony VAIO PCs and PlayStation, Amazon Kindle, Nokia phones, Nintendo Wii, et cetera. These are the very same products the company would be distributing at the retail stores.
Part of the reason why the company has decided to open retail establishments is to win over more businesses like HP or Dell, which would get much more retail presence in China at the Foxconn stores, an outside source says.
