iPhone Will Head For T-Mobile — Not Verizon, Analyst Claims

According to Thomas Weisel analyst Douglas Reid, it’s unlikely that Apple’s iPhone will make it to Verizon’s super-popular and purported reliable network next year when Apple’s exclusivity deal with AT&T ends. It’s likely, Reid says, that the iPhone could instead find its way to T-Mobile’s network.
So — why on this green Earth would Apple choose to go with T-Mobile as opposed to the largest network in the United States? Verizon’s partnership with Google, of course. I’ve already talked about this matter in early October. Case in point: Motorola Droid. It seems as if the entire ad campaign for the Droid handset was anti-iPhone, and as we all know, that doesn’t fly well with Apple.
Interestingly, Reid doesn’t state that Verizon ultimately gets left holding the soiled end of the stick. Reid says that it’s more likely that Verizon will sell other Apple devices, such as the fabled iTablet (as we call it, of course) as opposed to the iPhone, which is nearing its third birthday.
It’s all very quite interesting, and certainly entertaining to speculate upon. We must say though, not going to Verizon would be a huge mistake for Apple. The customer base with big red is absolutely out of the ballpark. I, for one, know that I’d drop my BlackBerry for an iPhone on Verizon’s network any day.

Please. Apple can’t be that stupid!!
Apple may not like the fact that Verizon has the Google partnership (what else was Verizon to do?) But didn’t AT&T have some agreement with Palm and/or Blackberry prior to and since the iPhone deal? Doesn’t T-Mobile?
Being a huge Apple fan ( 3 MACs, 4 iPods and countless referrals ) as well as a Verizon customer, I would line up to replace my 3 phones with 3 iPhones. If there’s no Verizon iPhone ( soon ) there will be 3 phones Apple will not sell, that Motorola will. I’m NOT going to change to an inferior network but would happily change phones.
I’ve got to believe that there are hundreds of thousands of Verizon customers who feel the same way.
Look guys. Advertising against one another is “YES” bad. But on the other hand if something is going to make you more money and you can reach agreements then a relationship can be made. Don’t let these ads fool you into thinking that “Oohh they’re fighting, there is no way for iPhone on Verizon”. Common folks be real, you go where the $ is at. The ads are like two rappers feuding… all for the recognition, fame and $.
