Breaking: CrunchPad Project Ends Abruptly

It’s a very sad day for the folks at TechCrunch, especially for Michael Arrington, who just informed the world in a post that the CrunchPad project has been ended abruptly. Arrington states that they were so close to launching the device. As a matter of fact, they had planned to launch it on November 20th at the Real-Time Crunchup event. Unfortunately, everything went down the hill from there.
Michael Arrington was informed by email that neither him or TechCrunch were involved in the project anymore. He was informed by Chandra Rathakrishnan, the founder & CEO of Fusion Garage, a company which the TechCrunch team was working in partnership to develop the CrunchPad. Chandra told Arrington that due to shareholders pressure, Fusion Garage had decided to sell and distribute the CrunchPad itself, without TechCrunch.
With that said and done, Michael Arrington goes on to say that they will be filing multiple lawsuits against Fusion Garage, and possibly Chandra and his shareholders as individuals.

That’s really bizarre and sad as well. I don’t know why people do that. Does he expect to release a a copycat item in a year under a different name?????????
