Racist Obama Image Gets Removed from Google Search Results

Yesterday, we reported about a story which was equally strange as it was disturbing. In image of First Lady Michelle Obama with facial features comparable to that of a monkey. Today, we’re happy to say that the image is no longer the very first result when searching for “Michelle Obama” on Google’s image search.

But, it was no thanks to Google.

Beleive it or not, the site where the image was hosted, dubbed Hot Girls, took it down. In a message posted in Chinese, the poster appears regretful for posting the image, which a rough English translation stating:

“I am very sorry for this article, andthat this is the program automatically issued a document from the article. Do not the subject of race and politics make the discussion too radical and sincere hope that the world is very peaceful.”

Meanwhile, Google stands firm over its decision to not directly tamper with search results, and warns that simply because the Hot Girls website removed the offensive image of Ms. Obama, it doesn’t mean the image cannot pop back up on search results if posted by another website.
