The British equivalent of Wal-Mart, Tesco, is officially beginning the sale of Apple’s super-popular iPhone. The selling of the device is expected to begin sometime before the holidays, though no specific date has been outlined. According to TechCrunch Europe, both the iPhone 3G and 3GS will be sold through Tesco Phone Shops and online through Tesco Direct.
Consumers looking to get away from O2′s network are completely out of luck. Tesco Mobile rides on O2′s wireless network, though a major high-point is that Tesco is expected to offer competitive pricing compared to the competition. Unfortunately, no information is currently available which highlights package pricing.
Anyone from the UK planning to get one of these?
