Palm Pre Gets Unofficial Video Recording Capabilities

Palm Pre Precorder

Palm Pre users, rejoice! You now will be able to record video on your device. That’s right, the Palm Pre does not have video recording capabilities. Anyway, the webOS developing community has just released an app called Precorder, which lets you record audio and  480 x 320-pixel video, at 30fps in Mpeg-4, H.263, and H.264/AVC format.

Unfortunately, there’s no video preview when recording. That’s understandable, considering the software is still in alpha stage. The best part is that the application works relatively well and it’s free. So if you’re feeling brave enough to try it out, click here.
