Rumor Alert: iPod Touch With Camera to Be Released in Spring

According to the Examiner.com, they’ve heard from one of their sources that Apple will be releasing the camera equipped iPod Touch that everyone was left longing for back in September. The source apparently “confirmed” that the iPod Touch with camera was actually planned to be released in September, but due to quality control issues it was postponed, just like we assumed. The new iPod Touch will apparently have the same camera as the one the new iPod Nano has. This means it will be a video camera only, no still photos.
Okay, so besides the spring release date we pretty much knew everything else this one inside source said. Just as a reminder to everyone, this story is currently only a rumor. No one but Apple can confirm the validity of this. So we’ll just have to wait until spring 2010 to find out for sure.

What a ripoff. Only a fanboy would spend that much money over again to get a cheap camera that can’t even take still photos.
If this is true, count me out. Apple’s getting ridiculous IMHO.
No. I have been waiting for the still photo feature! I don’t want video! I would have bought the nano if that is what I wanted.
DOOD, i why cant apple just add a camera that actually takes pictures!! the video is alright, but i want the photo feature. gimme a break!
Dood that wouldn’t be too bad. Remember folks, home button plus lock takes a picture of the screen on any iPod touch. So therefore still photos will be a possibility. =D
