LinkedIn Testing a New Design
Bertrand Vasquez | Nov 06, 2009 | Comments 0

LinkedIn announced today on their blog that they are currently testing a new design for their website. Apparently, only some selected users will be able to see the new design. According to LinkedIn’s Kevin Bury, these are some of the new changes:
- A global navigation bar at the top of the page that provides convenient access to all LinkedIn services.
- Simplified local navigation within each of the LinkedIn areas (Profile, Contacts, Groups, etc.).
- More room available for page content. Less scrolling.
- A cleaner, less-cluttered look.
The new design has been in the works for various months now, as they began collecting data about which features are used the most and selecting from many different designs a while back. Finally, they’ve settled with the current new design. However, since it’s still being tested, LinkedIn is asking the community to help them improve the new design by leaving them feedback.
