Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.2 to Kill Intel Atom Processor Support

Intel Atom LogoMac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.2 has not been released, and yet it has been confirmed that it will kill support for Intel Atom Processors. This radical decision will mostly affect Hackintosh Netbook users who have hacked Atom based netbooks to run Snow Leopard.

There are a quite a few things you can do to prevent your dreams from being crushed though. You can either stay with Mac OS X  version 10.6.1 or earlier, or upgrade to Mac OS X 10.6.2 but run a customized kernel.
