YouTube Goes Down For Maintenance

Boy oh boy, the world’s most popular video-sharing website is down for maintenance. Last time we reported on this, on October 3rd, 2009, people weren’t happy — and they’re sure not to be this time around as well!
Of course, we haven’t got the slightest indication as to whether or not the maintenance is planned, but we’ll let you know more as we get it.
Update: We’ve been informed by our California location that this doesn’t appear to be nation-wide, as they are able to access YouTube.
Update 2: Looks like YouTube is back on the East coast.
Update 3: Look’s like YouTube is going up and down again. We’ll post more when we learn more.
Update 4: We’ve gotten in touch with our press contacts at YouTube for official word on this. Standby.
Update 5: We’ve just been contacted by a YouTube spokesperson, who has said the following: “We are aware that some users are having difficulty accessing videos on YouTube. We are working hard to fix the issue and will have the site back to normal as soon as possible.”

Thanks for the info but what a non-informative load of crap. And some users? The comments here obviously indicate the site being up/down all over the world today.
today (november 1st, 2009) i wanted to check how many views i had since u get about a thousand a day i like checking them. when i went to youtube it was down for maintenece and last night when i was trying to upload it wasnt working. i dont know whats going on but im pissed
