At this point, there shouldn’t be any doubt that the Palm Pixi will be released with a new and slightly better version of webOS than its Pre counterpart. The problem is, it’s not really clear which version number of webOS the Pixi will be equipped with. According to PreCentral, a report on DSL Reports suggest that 1.2.9 could be the webOS version number the Pixi is equipped with.
There’s also word going around that webOS 1.3 is currently worked on. This is leading many to think that the Pixi will actually be sporting it. As an updated, newer version of the OS, it would make a little more sense to go with a 0.1 upgrade than a 0.01. As the Palm Pre is currently using webOS 1.2.1. We won’t have to wait long to find out though, as the Palm Pixi is scheduled to launch on November 15th.
