MSN Direct to Be Shut Down in 2012

MSN Direct Logo2012 might not be the year life as we know it ends, but it will definitely be the year MSN Direct wireless data service ends. Microsoft announced via a direct service announcement that on January 1st, 2012 the service will be shut down. MSN Direct wirelessly provides live information to portable devices such as GPS navigators, watches, and even a weather displaying coffeemaker.

If you are a MSN Direct user, you have 2 years to come to terms and resign yourself to not have it in your life anymore. But if you want to cancel the service now or before the scheduled shutdown, you can. You will even receive a refund for the unused portion of the service.
