Yahoo Mail Users Experiencing Outage

At the time of this writing, the world’s number 1 email provider, with about 300 million users is experiencing a massive outage. Users are able to see the login screen, but fail to get any further after logging in. It’s currently unknown as to how many of Yahoo’s millions of mail users are affected, or why the outage is happening in the first place, so we’ll keep you updated with more information as we get it.
It is curious however that Yahoo is also shutting down GeoCities today. Could this be related?
Update: We have just learned that the outage is not affecting all Yahoo mail users at this point.
Update II: According to the Yahoo Mail Blog, the issue has been resolved. No specifics were provided.

the issue is STILL NOT RESOLVED, Bullshit Yahoo and the only thing we can do is contact “customer care” but you have to log in to do this and we cannot log in
My wife and myself are experiencing this, my message tells me that my yahoo id does not exist and i can sign up for it.
I’ve had this same yahoo id for 4 years and use it all day on messenger and email.
of course for fun, i tried to secure it and it told me it was not available.
No wonder Google are killing yahoo in the online world, god help us all if Microsoft end up buying them, then nothing will work.
It is now 29th October 11am in australia the issue is not resolved.
My spare yahoo id works fine, so AN EXPLANATION YAHOO?
i can not get into my e-mail and this has been going on for days and i am getting really tired of waiting!!!
