Verizon Wireless Still in the Stone Ages With Phone Size Comparisons

When I reported last night about the BlackBerry Storm 2 demo showing up on Verizon’s website, something hit me like a slippery fish while fooling around with size comparisons. Do you know what I’m getting at, here? If you don’t, well, the image accompanying this text simply explains it all.
Is Verizon seriously still using the ancient iPod for size comparisons on their site? Yes, they absolutely are. They’re either too lazy to keep current, or they really enjoy the fact that the gargantuan iPod makes their whole lineup look they’ll fit in your pocket with ease. Who seriously carries one of these anymore?
I propose that Verizon change this to a Nano or iPod Touch, at very least. But it would be nicer if I could be comparing an iPhone to this ancient iPod fossil, but it doesn’t like like Verizon will be getting an iPhone anytime soon.

I also noticed this and did a double take, followed by a minute or two of chuckling.
Nice post.
