4 Billion Photos Uploaded to Flickr And Counting

Flickr 4 Billionth PhotoFlickr reported today that on Saturday they reached a major milestone. User “punimoe” uploaded the 4 billionth photo [image to the right] to the site. Flickr seems to be growing faster and faster. The 3 billionth photo was uploaded about 5 months ago compared to the 2 billionth photo which was uploaded about 18 months ago. Unfortunately, photo number 1 billion does not exist anymore.

Flickr was founded in 2004 and was acquired by Yahoo! in 2005.
