Despite Google and Verizon being all secretive this morning about Verizon’s upcoming Android-based smartphones, the 2 devices were outed minutes later by none other than Verizon itself. You see, a photo was posted on the Verizon press release pagecclearly showing Google CEO Eric Schmidt holding what seems to be a HTC Hero with the Verizon logo on it and Verizon Wireless CEO Lowell McAdam holding a phone which top looks a lot like the Motorola Sholes.
So much for being secretive. Looks like the two companies need lessons from Apple.
Update: The device held by Eric Schmidt is indeed Verizon’s version of the HTC Hero which will have a few new modifications. You can expect to see it on Verizon this November.
