How to: Create Your Own Font

Something I’ve always wanted to do would be to create my own font. More specifically, my own handwriting font. Today, that’s what I did. I was successful. What’s better? The process couldn’t be any easier.
A tool named FontCapture, at fontcapture.com allows you to do just this — make your own font. To start, you need to print out a template page and copy down the letters/characters/numbers you see. See mine below:

You need to scan the template with 200 DPI (or greater) after filling out the template. From there, the site will allow you to name the font, upload it (JPG or PNG preferable), and test it out before downloading.
This is my test in WordPad:

This is brilliant! I’ve always wanted to do this as well.
Do it up!
