RadioShack Tired Of Its Name: Wants To Be Called ‘The Shack’

radioshacklogoRadioShack will be changing its name to simply ‘The Shack’ in the very near future, reports Engadget. Apparently, this is an attempt at re-branding the, well, somewhat-forgotten-electronic-store-that-people-only-visit-when-they-really-need-to, like the pharmacy.

Here’s the problem, though. While RadioShack may be changing their name, that’s probably all they will do. Likely, they still will have exceptional poor customer service and paltry selection of items. Think about it, when was the last time you were at RadioShack?

I’ll spare you most of my experiences, but let’s just say a store worker following me, trying to convince me to by a Monster HDMI cable is less than appealing. RadioShack is just a watered down version of Best Buy. Yeah, I said it.

At any rate, TheShack.com automatically forwards to Radio Shack’s website, so we should soon expect to see them do something with that. Other than that, nothing much to see here folks, really.
