Amazon is now accepting pre-orders on Apple’s updated Mac OS X Leopard operating system, dubbed Snow Leopard. You’ll find the standard upgrade priced at the announced $29, the five-user family bundle priced at $49, and Snow Leopard Server edition priced at a whopping $499. Release of the update is expected in September. Of course, the update is only for users who are currently working with Intel-based Mac OS X Leopard machines. If your Mac is running Tiger, the $29 charge does not apply.
The item is also eligible for free shipping.
