Review: Spotify, A Great Music Platform!

July 23rd, 2009 Posted in Review by Bertrand

Spotify Log-InEarlier today, we announced Spotify is coming to the United States. For those of you who haven’t read the article, Spotify is a ‘freemium’ peer-to-peer music streaming application available in Europe only, but making its way to the US. Well, our friends at Spotify were kind enough to send us Beta invites to try out the application. I have been testing it [more like playing around with it] all afternoon and I got to say: It’s awesomely brilliant! The download and installation happened in a flash. The interface is clean and simple and maintains a sleek aspect. The program is so easy to use as 1-2-3. To search music you just type the artist, song or album you’re looking for and that’s it. Then you can arrange the results by track, artist, time, popularity and album. And the sound quality is excellent. A history of your searches is kept on the left side for easy access. You are able to create playlist which are also kept on the left side. Overall, the application is great and will be a fierce competitor to other music applications like iTunes and Rhapsody. We’re having a great time with Spotify. Without a doubt, this will revolutionize the way we listen to music.
