Free Business Cards, Courtesy Of Google Voice

Celebrating the relaunch of GrandCentral, Google Voice will be distributing 50,000 sets of 25 Google Voice phone number calling cards free. That’s right, free. That means that printing and shipping is all on Google’s dime.

Obviously, you may have guessed that you do need an active Google Voice account in order to take advantage of the offer. The cards come in three different styles – from a simple card which shows your name and number, to a card which allows you to include business name (and the likes), the multi-colored numbers on the card are sure to draw attention.

Testing this out, I am currently attempting to create my very own utilizing my Google Voice account. There’s already much buzz in the tech world about this, because the iPrint service Google is working with on this is super slow, likely due to traffic.

When/if we successfully create and receive our own, we’ll post photos.

Update (July 24th, 2009): We did manage to get our cards created on the evening of the 23rd (last night), though it took almost 30 minutes. Apparently, the response to these have been overwhelming but there’s still plenty to go round – though I continue receiving 404 errors!
