What The Hell Is China Thinking?

First, it was The Great Firewall of China, then Green Dam, and now the latest idiocracy coming from China; China Spring Airlines to be exact, is: ”standing flights”. Seatless bus-like flights is their solution to high flight demands. “For a lower price, passengers should be able to get on a plane like catching a bus, with no seat, no luggage consignment, no food, no water,” said Spring’s president Wang Zhenghua. According to him it will be “very convenient.” Not offense, but what the hell is he thinking?By doing this, they hope to carry 40% more passengers. Even though I think this is the unsafest and stupidest idea ever, passengers will still have to wear some kind of seatbelt around their waists. “It’s just like bar stools,” said Spring’s Zhang Wuan to China’s CCTV. The company has proposed this to Airbus, the aircraft manufacturer, and apparently they thought it was safe. This of course would need government’s approval, which might be easy to get since this idea had been proposed by vice premier Zhang Dejiang.
As much as I love flying, I’d rather take a bus or train than to get on a crowded airplane and be squeezed in like a bunch of cattle with no food or water, that’s not only disgusting but it jeopardizes people’s safety. What’s going to be next screen-divided computers, so 2 people can share it?
